Worst gift:  MIL gave me a dish towel for Christmas, and nothing for my birthday, even after DH told her (a week in advance) when my birthday was

MIL is completely obsessed with HER son.  She believes that SHE is his only family.  Never mind the fact that he has a wife and 3 children.  His wife and children are NOT his family, only HER!  If he doesn't take her calls, it is because I won't let him, EVEN IF I AM 300 MILES AWAY! Gee, I am talented.  LOL.  Oh, the first baby was to "trick" him into marrying me, and the other 2 were to make sure that he stayed with me.  But, none of them are really DH's.  At least, that is the story that MIL tells everyone who will listen.  Oh, and I keep him from going to see her or e-mailing her, too.  Yep, I have control over him when he is at work and has time and opportunity to e-mail her.  And even though I am twice as small as him, I can physically stop him from getting in the car and driving to her house to see her.  I never realized how good and powerful I was until I got a MIL.

Worst gift:  I collect clocks.  MIL knows this, and every year she sends me hideous clocks.  Every year they get worse.  This year she told DH what she got me for Christmas - a "sardine can clock".  I cannot even imagine what a sardine can clock looks like.  I am now looking for something equally as crazy to top her gift, but I have no clue what to buy her.  Help!!!
