SIL from he!!  My SIL is mean to me.  She has succeeded in getting my brother to believe the devious tricks that she imposed on me - her verbal, back stabbing tricks.  My brother believes every word (lies) that she tells him.  I write nice, sweet letters to have my brother in my life, and he writes me (his sister) that my nephew and niece don't want to hear from me.  I have been the most devoted, generous aunt.  I visited frequently in years past, once a month, to see the family, especially the kids.  Now, they are both, especially SIL, hurting me.  It's hurting me physically.  My health is deteriorating because of her.  I want my brother to listen to me.  He uses every incident that I've had with my SIL to degrade and punish me.  He wouldn't see our mom for 2 years before we lost her.  He promised her that he would come, and never did.  He didn't come to our grandmother's service, nor did he attend the service for our cousin who was killed.  He and SIL wouldn't attend our parents' birthday celebration - their 80th.  I had to explain why they and their kids were not there.  How do I handle all this pain and hurt by my dear brother?  I am divorced.  I have no kids.  My nephew and my niece were my joy.

Worst gift:  When my best friend had her bridal shower, her FMIL gave her a garbage can as a gift.  Talk about putting thought into a gift.

Worst gift:  When DH and I moved into our first home, my MIL gave us some things to get us started.  She gave us one of her old vacuum cleaners, which she swore was still in good working condition, a gas grill, which was only 3 years old, and a box full of what I can only explain as junk.  Well, the vacuum cleaner exploded after the third time that I used it, and she asked for the grill back about a month later.  Now, whenever she offers us stuff, DH and I decline, because it's either already broken or she'll want it back.

Signed - She'll Want It Back
