My MIL is evil, or nuts,
or both. DH and I have been married for two years. During that
time we have never received a Christmas or anniversary gift, card,
or even a phone call from MIL. Never mind me, she completely ignored
my DH's last two birthdays - including his 40th birthday, and didn't
even acknowledge the day he obtained his Master's degree. However,
every time one of her many dramas explode, she calls my DH first
to fix everything. Apparently, the other two siblings are incapable
of helping. She manages to time these dramas around holidays and
birthdays - thus ruining them for us. The last straw was during
Valentine's day last year, when she called my DH to tell him that
his brother had Hepatitis and Aids. It turns out that he had neither.
I am truly beginning to hate this woman.

My MIL has griped during
OUR ENTIRE MARRIAGE - we don't let her keep our kids enough, see
them enough, etc., etc. So, we recently moved within 2 hours of
her house (that's another story), and asked her if she would come
spend the night with us and baby-sit our kids while DH and I went
out on a date. Nope. She's busy. ARGHHHH!!!! Well, okay, that's
fine, but you can quit with the griping now, you had your chance.

I have been married for
8 years, and my MIL has never liked me. I do not know what to do.
One time she called me a b!tch, like it was a joke, in front of
everyone. She picks on me at family gatherings and says that I
have no sense. She has always done this. I have asked her to stop.
DH has asked her to stop, but she continues. People have actually
told me the horrible things that she says behind my back. Now I
stay away, but it is getting worse. People in the family whom I
got along with don't like me now.
