My story is about my SIL.  She is such a problem in my DF's and my life.  It has gotten so bad that he doesn't even talk to her anymore.  We went to visit my DF's parents in Europe 2 months ago.  While we were there she acted as if she and I were best friends, when I know for a fact that she can't stand me, just as I can't stand her.  This wouldn't be an issue, except my DF and I are getting married at the end of next year and he wants things to be sorted out before then.  I am at a loss as to what to do.  She has expressed clearly that she doesn't want to talk about what transpired between us.  She won't even tell me what her problems with me are.  By the same token, I am unwilling to just act as if we are best friends, when I know she is not acting that way behind my back.  What should I do?

DH and I just bought a house, and my MIL acts like I am taking her 6 year old boy away.  He is 27, and we have no children yet.  She is always stepping on my toes as a wife, and always criticizing who I am.  She doesn't get along with anybody, except him, and therefore wants him all to herself.  I give him more than she ever has, and she is so obsessed that she makes stuff up in her head.  I have a plan as soon as we get moved in.  I told DH that if she criticizes me, steps on my toes, or curses against god in my house or around me, she either has to pay $10 each time or be separated from my DH for 2 weeks.  LOL.  This will start in a month!

Two days after I had a miscarriage my MIL said, "GS looks just like my DH."  I though it was very insensitive.
