My FMIL decided that since she was paying for it, our rehearsal dinner was the best time for all of us to meet her family from out of state.  The restaurant that our dinner was at only allowed up to 50 people for parties.  So, she invited all of her family, and she "forgot" to invite the people who needed to be there, like the priest and other members of the wedding party.  Her family alone put us at the 50 people limit.  My FH says he just wants to stay out of it and will never stand up to his mother.

I came in one day when it was very windy and said, "It's really windy out there - I think my hair is probably a mess."  MIL, who loves to get her jabs in, said, "Oh really?  How can you tell?"  Everyone who knows how she treats me says that she is a lot like Doris on Everybody Loves Raymond, but it's not so funny in real life!!

Worst gift:  My wedding gift from my MIL was a card that had an IOU for a silver place setting - we never got it.  But what topped that was my Xmas present - an outdoor weather temperature gauge - complete with bits of last year's Xmas wrapping, still on it from someone else!
