After meeting me for the first time, DH asked
his DM what she thought of me. She told him that once he's done
slumming, he should let her know because she has a girl who is perfect
for him. I'm glad I wasn't there, because I think I would have
decked her!!

MIL is so crazy!! One night she called DH
and me at 4 am because she had a dream that I was mistreating my
children, and she grilled DH about it. She kept him on the phone
for an hour, asking him about my parental skills. Who calls at
4 am???? I'm a great mother, BTW. What is her problem??

MIL had the nerve to tell me, on the day that
I gave birth to my twins (boy/girl), that I should get used to the
fact that my DD will become pregnant at a young age and cause me
nothing but trouble, and my son will get married and forget about
me. The nerve! Her DD got pregnant at 17 and ran off
to be with the father of the baby. She came back home a few
years ago, when her BF left her and she was pregnant again.
And she swears that DH has abandoned her in some way. We live
close to them and he sees and talks to them all the time.
She was lucky that I was out of it due to the meds, because I would
have ripped her a new one!
