My MIL is crazy.  She was divorced by my FIL, and he has since remarried.  His new wife seems to be a sweet person and she works hard at being a good friend to everyone, including the former wife.  My MIL hates her, and she has gone so far as to plot to attack the new wife at her wedding (she chickened out).  My DH has two jobs, but MIL feels that he should spend more time with her.  He leaves work at his first job (construction) and then goes to another job, gets home, eats, bathes, and falls straight to sleep.  Then he begins the same process the next day.  We barely have any time to spend together, and we are newlyweds.  MIL doesn't like me and she has told my FIL that she is against our marriage.  I have never done anything wrong to her.  I really don't care how she feels about me because I wasn't looking for a new mother.  She just happens to be the woman who gave birth to my DH.  I hope that she finds herself a new man because her son and her ex-DH are taken.

My MIL is a trip.  She wore a white, lacy dress slit up to the hip to my wedding.  She takes me shopping the day after Christmas so that I can carry all her shopping bags and listen to her whine about how exhausted she is from all the shopping.  She invites us to spend relaxing weekends at her lake house, where my DH and I are promptly put to work on her chores, while she takes the boat out or floats with a cocktail!

My DH's sister died this year, and ever since that happened, my MIL takes it out on me.  She yells at me, cusses me, throws things at me, and is always accusing me of trying to kill her son.  I became pregnant the next month.  I thought that she'd calm down and be happy for my DH.  I thought that she'd be happy about having a new grandchild, but she still treats me the same, if not worse now!!!  I am 8 1/2 months along now, and I have gotten toxemia.  They said from my blood pressure, fluid, protein, etc.  DH and I have been living with this woman for a little over a year.  We were waiting for our house to be done.  We are in the process of moving now.  I really can't stand this woman, but I don't want my DH to think that I'm trying to push his mother away from our child.  I just can't stand the woman.  I don't want to live with her and I don't want my child around her, either.  I don't think that anyone would want their child around a woman who acts like that.  If she acts this way towards me, then how will she treat my child?  She refuses to see a doctor about her "episodes", and says that she's fine and there's nothing wrong with her?  What should I do?

Signed - I Hate My MIL
