We asked the MIL to watch our kids for a day out and about.  I came home to find my furniture moved around.  She said that she thought this way was better.  She also decided to do my laundry.  She washed EVERYTHING!!  A suit, a wool sweater, my unmentionables.  All were ruined.  She blamed me because I should have had the laundry done!!!!

About a week ago I/we purchased a 4-wheeler as an early Christmas gift from myself to my DH.  I also bought a new sofa that I've been waiting to purchase for over two years, since we are now finished renovating our home.  My MIL had come over to watch the children for us for the day so we could go Christmas shopping for them.  Before we left my DH had told her about the 4 wheeler purchase, and she saw our new furniture.  Upon arrival from our shopping she asked me if we got the majority of our shopping finished, and I told her, "Yes, but I will still need to pick up a few small things for DH and then he needed to go for me."  My wonderful MIL snipped off and said, "Don't you think you two have gotten enough for Christmas this year?!!  Neither of you need to get the other one another thing!"  OK, here's the thing - I can understand her maybe implying about the 4 wheeler, but is the couch my Christmas present?  I mean, silly me for thinking that the couch we agreed on two years ago for our family to use was/is anything other than a Christmas gift to myself.  Not to mention the 4 wheeler cost a pretty penny and is for my DH to go hunting with.  It's not for me!  What makes this worse is that my DH and I gave, yes, gave, one of our fairly new furniture sets (because we had two) to my MIL, because her furniture is basically cr@p, the day before she sat for us.  We delivered it and moved her old furniture out of her house so she wouldn't have to!  When she found out that we had gotten new furniture, her first response was, "Oh, I didn't know you were getting new furniture," as if she was jealous.  Am I supposed to report to her about my purchases or something?!  She is the most ungrateful, nosey, and evil b!tch I have ever known, and probably will ever know!  I guess she would like to know what I spend at the grocery store next week.  I'm sorry, but she has some major issues.
