Worst gift:  This Christmas we had my family over, along with my ILs at our new home.  Everyone brought and opened gifts.  The next day my DH and I went to his parent's house for another party.  When the party ended, I was waiting in the car for DH to come out.  He walked to the car holding a t-shirt.  When he got in the car I asked where the shirt came from, and he said that it was a gift from his mom to him.  I opened the shirt and thought that I was going to kill my MIL.  The shirt read, "I LOVE FAT, SASSY CHICKS!!!".  WTF???  DH and I argued over this shirt all night last night.  I'm not sure how I should address this with his MIL, or if I should at all.  I'm sure she gave him the shirt just to hurt me, and if I let her know it did, then she has won!  PLEASE HELP.  WHAT DO I DO HERE????

DH and I weren't going to have a big wedding, but rather a small ceremony by a justice of the peace and a nice dinner afterwards.  MIL insisted that we have a wedding at her expense.  So, we agreed on a very small wedding on an even smaller budget.  When it was time to purchase the decorations, my MIL had me meet her at the party supply store to select the decorations.  When we were finished and waiting in line to check out, my MIL politely walked outside the store, sticking me with the bill for the decorations - over $500 worth!

Worst gift:  My DD's 8th birthday had arrived.  She opened her gift from the MIL.  It was a shirt that said "Uh-oh, Mommy's mad again.  I'm going to Grandmas."  What's funny is that it is always my DH who is the mad one in the family.  Her passive aggressive way of reaffirming that she is not a nice person.  So I sent an "I'm with stupid" shirt to her BF for his birthday.  Let's see if she can top that.
