My MIL is moving in with my dad.  They have only been speaking for 9 months, which is when her BF left.  MIL and my dad are neglecting their GKs, not to mention my dad has not talked to me the past 9 months because of some story my MIL made up.  He didn't even tell anyone they were seeing each other.  She is taking all of his money.  She quit working and made up tons of health problems (the reason she can't work), but everyone gets a different version.  She is even writing some other guy in jail, making plans to move in with him while she's packing stuff into my dad's house.  My dad is so blind that he gave her a promise ring for Xmas.  I don't want to be married to my stepbrother.  The B!TCH needs to GO!!!!

My MIL's latest escapade was to badger my friend, who happens to be her doctor, into giving her my personal e-mail address.  My MIL had an appointment with my friend for her annual exam.  I've been refusing to give my e-mail address to my MIL for years, so my MIL knew that it was against my wishes for her to send me e-mail.  My doctor friend also knew that I would not want my MIL to have my e-mail address, but she did not know what to do when pressed by my MIL in front of a waiting room full of patients.  I am more than happy to receive "snail mail" from my MIL , but wish to only receive e-mail from the parties whom I choose to give my e-mail address to.  This is not the first time that my MIL has violated privacy and disregarded the feelings of family members.  She seems to have no respect for others' boundaries.  As you can guess, my MIL of 15 years and I are NOT close!

MIL, like many others mentioned on this site, used to copy everything that I did.  It used to drive me crazy, but now I realize that she does not have any class or style.  It helps that I don't invite them over, so she cannot see my ideas anymore.  The worst thing ever was when I went and bought a shower curtain for the master bedroom shower that looked like curtains on each side.  She asked where I got it, and like a dummy, I told her.  The next day she called me (that was when I still answered the phone) and told me that she had bought the same exact one, only a different color.

Signed - Why Did She Call Me To Tell Me That???
