Worst gift:  For Christmas FMIL got us our BIG GIFT and was so excited about it.  I have one DD from a previous marriage, he has one son from a previous marriage.  She prepared us to receive this wonderful, expensive Christmas gift, one that was our big gift from her.  She got us all ready, sitting us down for it to be brought in.  She was so excited to give us OUR gift.  It was brought in.  Huge.  Tag read:  "To ****".  Her son.  That was it, not me, not our family, him only.  I was like, "Ok, I get it."  It was a 3 ft x 4 ft picture (about $300) picture of the day her GS (DF's son with another woman) was born.  It happened to be on September 11th, so it's commemorative of that day.  Then, she insisted that my DF and I get our picture taken with this inappropriate monstrosity, and she suggested we hang it somewhere very prominent in our new house and put track lighting above it to highlight it.  I was ticked.  I don't expect presents, so it's not that I wanted something else.  I just am not so stupid as to believe that it was a present for "us" at all.   Instead, it was just another one of her little deceptive ways to appear angelic in front of him, and like the devil in front of me.

        Signed - I'm Not Stupid!

FMIL is still attached to my DF's first wife (hates the second), and I will be his third.  DF and I bought a brand new house and invited his mother over to stay the night.  Five minutes into our new house and she said, "Guess who I talked to today?"  Then she said my DF's 1st wife's name.  "She said that she comes to (the town we live in) sometimes and she could just bring me by sometime so I didn't have to drive!  Isn't she sweet!"  Then, another time, she started talking out of the blue about another one of my DF's long time ex-GFs about how she used to be so tall and lanky, and not what she considered attractive, but now she is so beautiful and looks like a model.

Signed - Again, She Looks Like An Angel , But I SEE HER HORNS!

I'm at the end of my rope with this dirty old cow.  She has held a grudge against my DH and me for over a year now, because we decided to have a small wedding.  She wanted a big wedding, in her church with her friends and family, and she wanted us to pay the entire bill.  We attempted to make her as comfortable as possible with our decision by compromising my religious beliefs, and even offering to pay for her and my FIL to come to the wedding out of the country.  Her answer, "No, it's my day and I want it my way OR ELSE."  Needless to say, we had the wedding that WE wanted.  When I was 6 months pregnant and was having problems with working 14 hour days with pregnancy-induced hypertension, she told me that it was my "fault" for getting pregnant, and she didn't care whether the baby lived or died inside of me.  She is now spreading rumors about us and harassing us.  She takes away and destroys any photos or gifts we give to my DH's father.  She blames us for her recent heart attack.  And, worst of all, she calls our home and screams about how she's going to get revenge and she doesn't want any signs of "that kid" (our 4 month old baby boy) anywhere near her.  I've had enough.  I'm putting my foot down.  Anyone who has any contact with that person is not allowed anywhere near my family.

        Signed - I've Had Enough
