frequent fry her - Fightingalosingbattle Frequent Fry Her TM - Fightingalosingbattle /Posted: 1-FEB-08
Ever since we were "banned" from the holidays at MIL's house, I've ignored her phone calls.  She calls the house frequently, but I let it go to voicemail.  She, eventually, calls my DH to complain that I'm ignoring her.  DH responds with, "What do you expect?"  Well, over the weekend, she had the nerve to email my DD (almost 14) and complain to her about how I'm ignoring her.  She told my DD that the reason they don't have a relationship is because I won't let it happen.  BS!  Then, she carried on to tell my DD that if she ever gets in trouble and I yell at her, DD is to call her and she will come pick her up.  Oh, whatever!  What constitutes yelling?  Hmm?  What is she trying to plant in my child's head?  And, as I said before, all this coming from a woman who puts down a bottle of vodka a day, refuses to commit to watching the kids on any particular day so DH and I can have a date, and never tries to communicate with the kids.  We've been here over a year and she has never made any attempts at spending time with our kids.  I can't wait until our house sells so we can go back home where we belong!

( I want my own Frequent Fry Her TM Page )

Worst gift:  My DH and I have been married for 8 years.  MIL gave us pictures of our wedding for our first Christmas.  Sounds nice enough.  Eight years later, my DD and I were looking through the album, and came across pages that had never been filled in with our wedding pictures.  We discovered wedding pictures from my DH's first marriage!!!!  My MIL was too cheap or disrespectful to go get another album for me.

Worst gift:  My DD had just gotten engaged.  She called her GPs the next day to tell them the good news.  FIL was home, but MIL was not.  He congratulated her and she said, "Tell grandma," expecting that, since she was the first grandchild to get married, GM would call.  She never did.  No congratulations card or email was sent, either.  A couple of weeks later, DH was talking to his mom, and told her the wedding date.  They could make it.  Six weeks before the bridal shower, MIL received her invitation, but couldn't make it on that date.  Her 2 DDs came, but no gift was sent with them.  No gift was sent, period.  The wedding came and went.  They bought a $60 item off of the registry.  Nine months later, we were at niece's bridal shower and MIL was there with a gift.  I said, "You know you never gave DD a shower gift," (since my DD was there and she noticed the $50 gift card).  "Of course not!  I couldn't attend the shower!"
