My MIL is bipolar (although
she claims she has ADHD, I have found out otherwise). She is completely
and utterly bonkers. She also has a crush on me (part of her craziness,
I guess), is insanely jealous of any attention her son may bestow
on me, and continuously asks me the most inappropriate questions,
such as, "How much do you make?" and, "How old were
you when you lost your virginity?" She's 100% trash, and rejoices
in showing it to the world at any chance she gets. Unfortunately
for her, I am a b*tch from he!!. I already have a reputation in
my DH's family of being the only person who has stood up to her
and did not lose a limb in the process. As a matter of fact, I
am having fun with her. I let her get her way 4 or 5 times (she's
a control freak), and, just when she's feeling like she has me under
her thumb, I do or say something totally evil and pull the rug right
from under her troll feet. The frazzled look in her face is priceless.

Worst gift: MIL buys
ALL my gifts at a thrift store. I get everything, from used clothing
and used, worthless ornaments, to tattered kitchenware. Also, (because
I am Latino and she is not), she buys anything with words in Spanish,
even if hey have nothing to do with me. One such gift was a book
of Muslim prayers in Spanish (I am a Christian).

Worst gift: We got a
gift certificate to a specialty chocolate store for 1 lb of chocolate.
It was a wedding gift. Yes, that was from my MIL.
