My MIL is so off the wall with insanity.  One Christmas, when she was still not over the fact that her son had moved on and remarried, not leaving her to raise his children, she showed up at the house 11 at night.  We found her ringing the doorbell and screaming that I was not her DIL.  She demanded that I come out, and then leave.  She reverted to slashing my car tires, smashing my windshield, and breaking my wiper blades.  She returned to the door, cackling like Count Dracula.  If she wanted me to leave so badly, why did she leave me stranded, without a drivable vehicle?  Crazy Stupid b@#$%!

I haven't been on this site in a few years.  I am amazed at some of the stories.  We put HIS mother out of our lives back in 2003.  Right after Thanksgiving weekend of 09' my DH collapsed.  We had three trips to the hospital, two admissions to ICU, three surgeries and 12 blood transfusions to go through in a WEEK's time!  After the second trip, we found that he was bleeding internally due to a Dieulafoy Lesion.  I held my breath all three times that I called his mother.  DH was dying, and his mom had a right to be there.  ALL THREE TIMES, all she and her DH talked about was WHO WAS CALLED FIRST, and that I've kept her son away from them (HIS CHOICE).  During the FIRST admission to ICU, she actually invited his EX-WIFE to visit!!  DH was LIVID, and so was I after I came back from cafeteria, because it was planned so well (I wasn't in the room).  I left every night at 6 to have dinner.  It was the only time I ever left his room.  I even stayed at night to help.  And, all we heard about was how he wasn't as sick as she was.  He almost died.  He is home and doing great now!  We have a whole new year ahead, and needless to say . . .
