Worst gift:  My ex-SIL was always very nice to me, except when it came time to give gifts.  She ALWAYS gave me her "free gift with purchase" items as gifts.  You know how if you buy a certain perfume or makeup, you get a bag full of sample sizes, a purse, and other goodies?  She would wrap those up and give them to me as gifts.  She did this for the entire 12 years that my ex and I were together.  I just wanted to say, "Um, I get the Sunday paper, too, and I know this was free."  Never did.  I never skimped out on her gifts.  It actually got to be kind of a joke with my ex.  We'd go through the paper the week before my birthday or Christmas, and try to pick which one I'd get.

My MIL called me and our 2 kids my husband's "other family".

Worst gift:  For Christmas, my MIL gave me a blouse that was five sizes bigger than my actual size.  It was very ugly.  When I went to the store to return it, they told me that it was better if I kept it and use the fabric for something else.  When I asked why, the attendant told me that the blouse was from a year ago, and that they would only give me a store credit for 99 cents!!  That same year, my MIL gave me a gift card, for my birthday, that I gave her a month before for her birthday!  At least I liked the store!  When I told my DH, he did not believe me.  I called the store and gave them the gift card number, then I put my DH on the phone.  The clerk from the store told him that the gift card was purchased the day before his mother's birthday.  They gave him my name, and the store that I purchased the gift card from.

Signed - He Could Not Believe It!
