I have been married for 15 years.  My ILs visit frequently.  I do enjoy their company.  I always make sure to have a few of their favorites on hand, like Irish Cream for FIL's coffee, and white wine for MIL.  But, in all these years, my MIL has never done the same for me.  When we go to her house for Sunday dinner, we always have coffee.  She knows that I like creamer in my coffee, not milk.  But, she NEVER has any creamer.  She always says, "No one else uses it."  But, no one else in my house drinks what I buy for them, either.  But, I do it to make them feel at home.  Oh well, small problem, I know.  I just carry my own with me.  Once, I left it there so it would be available when I visit.  The next time I was there I looked for it, and it was gone.  I asked about it and MIL said, "Oh, I used it up."

        Signed - WHAT? OH, Well!

My DH recently had an accident on the job (he works in construction).  He was helicoptered in to the ER, and spent about 5 days in the hospital.  I arrived half an hour after I found out about his accident, and was at the hospital every day when visiting hours began.  I did not leave until they ended.  I took care of him and got him everything he needed.  I've been helping him since he came home, and just generally being as good of a wife as I can.  When I made him call his mom to reassure her that he was OK, (she lives in another country), she told him to thank me for taking care of him FOR HER.  Isn't that something you say to your dog sitter after you get back from vacation?  As if he is on loan to me from her.  Witch.

Signed - Obviously, I Did It For Her
