MIL and SIL mean well, but they just DO NOT GET IT!  Here is the latest.  Granted, I have quite a few.  My DW just gave birth, and MIL was overbearing and hovering over her.  DW ended up have a c-section.  First, MIL tried to talk the doctor into allowing her in the OR.  Then, she barged back into our room without being invited, before DW was even back.  Not too bad, right?  Well, it was a little rude, but here is where I am currently shaking my head.  SIL had the audacity to schedule a minor, routine surgery for herself (DW has had the same surgery, no big deal) two days after my DD's due date.  This was weeks ago.  She whined to get attention, when it's my DW's time to be pampered.  So, MIL drove 3 hours to go take SIL food, and now MIL is coming back with SIL so she can visit.  SIL even asked if she could stay with us.  WTH????  My DW and I are tired.  We need rest and do not want anything else to worry about.  SIL is just coming to look for sympathy and see her niece.  Am I wrong to not even want her here?  I want to leave the hospital.  It's been over four days and I long for my bed and my things.

Worst gift:  My MIL once gave us a framed 8X10 picture of herself.  I tried to send it back home with her - she insisted we keep it.  It's in a drawer in my DH's desk.  But, the best gift she gave me on that trip was to tell me that she never planned on seeing me again.  She told my DH that she would never come to visit again.  I haven't spoken to her in almost 2 years - darn the luck (LOTS of sarcasm here).
