Whenever I talk to MIL
on the phone, she never is on the phone more than two or three minutes
when the call waiting comes on. She says, "Hold on,"
and then makes me wait while she talks to SIL. SIL has told her
to answer her phone when she calls, no matter what MIL is doing.
But, when the tables are turned, and I am the one calling, MIL always
lets it go straight to voicemail. It is really irritating. There
have been times that I have tried to reach MIL to tell her something
very important, and I could not get through for over an hour. She
and SIL talk at least twelve times a day. They call each other
about everything. Recently, I called MIL about something important.
In the middle of her explanation, she said, "Hold on."
I said, "If you take this call, I will hang up. Can't you
call her back?" MIL got very uncomfortable and made some weird
noises. She decided to hang up on me, because she was so terrified
of SIL and the scolding she would get for not answering SIL's call.

Worst gift: My MIL is
a horrid woman. My DH gets $300 to $500 spent on him for Christmas,while
I got a pair of dollar store jammies. Last year, they bought me
a turkey deep fryer. Like I would ever use that - I don't eat fried
food that much. But, it is always at their house, as they bought
it for themselves. And, yes, . . .
