I'm divorced, so that's ONE good thing.  My ex-MIL was a huge (closet) alcoholic.  She would fall down drunk and bleed.  It would look like a murder scene.  She had a habit of not answering her door when she was on a binge.  During the last "incident" I was involved with, MIL was missing.  No one could find her.  She wouldn't answer her door.  Hospitals were called, police, etc.  Blood was everywhere!  She was having electrical work done on her house.  When the electrician walked in, he found her covered in blood.  HE took her to the hospital.  She didn't think to call anyone in the family and let them know where she was for DAYS!  THEN, she called the electrician to pick her UP from the hospital when she was released!!  He was just a hired guy, not a friend.  He was someone she had never met before!!!  Honest to God!!  This is just a taste of the crazy I went through.  Ex-FIL is STILL an alcoholic.  He moved back in with the MIL 30 years after they were divorced.

I'm happy that I found this site.  My MIL is crazy, just like most that I read about here.  I am very sorry for that.  My MIL has always hated me.  She even went as far as ruining my wedding.  First, she bought a dress that was the SAME color as mine.  So, I took mine back.  Then, like an idiot, I put DH's sisters in the wedding.  I felt bad and wanted to include them.  They threw a fit over the dress colors, so I had to change them to please everybody.  At that point, I wanted to be nice.  MIL took it completely over, and it was hard to say no when DH didn't help me with it.  He now apologizes for that.  Then, she argued with me about putting the cake up that my mom bought.  She called my DH "fat", which he isn't (but she very much is).  She left my parents out of the toast.  Then, she told my mom to drink out of the bottle.  Her DD's BF took pictures.  They made a DVD for us.  It didn't have any pictures of my mom in it.  There was only one of my father.  She was rude to my friends and family.  My friend asked me if I really wanted to marry into that family. Then, MIL made all kinds of comments.  It was all just horrible.  I have had a hard time getting through this.  I was happy that I could finally get this out.  Hopefully, I can start moving on from this.  She made sure that, when my mom was being seated, the music didn't start.  But, it did start when she was being seated.  It pisses me off, even now, because my mom is soft hearted and she felt like crying at her DD's wedding.  It was not because her youngest was getting married, but because my mil is a complete b!tch.  Sorry, it was horrible.  That's most of it.  I have all kinds of horrible stories about this woman when we had our DD.  To make it short, she took my camera and took no pictures of me or my family.  There were only pictures of her family.  Like I said, it was with MY camera.
